JOHN R. WINTER, Jr. '43 has left a $1 million trust to benefit Central new York children. It was placed in the John Winter Family Fund "to enrich the lives of children from diverse social and economic backgrounds by recognizing, promoting and rewarding the achievement of excellence." Income will be used for programming for children through nonprofit groups. Cultural organizations have already been contacted for ideas.
